Gardline Presents at Joint Industry Forum for Offshore Geotechnics in Kuala Lumpur
Andy Barwise, Business Development Director of Geosciences presented at the 2nd Joint Industry Forum for Offshore Geotechnics (JIFOG) in Kuala Lumpur, on Monday 21st October.
The forum brought together most of the contractors and operators from the APAC region to discuss and debate hot topics in their specialist fields. There were approximately 200 attendees and 10 papers presented.
Andy presented on the benefits of using ROV technology for offshore site investigation. This presentation was well received with several questions from the Petronas delegates who have a great interest in this type of “modern” approach to site investigation.
Andy Barwise said on the presentation “It was an honour to be asked to present again at this prestigious event along with some other industry experts. The enthusiasm in the region to accept new developments and trends is always a pleasure to see and makes it an exciting place to do business.”
At the closing ceremony some special awards were made. One of these special awards for long service to Geotechnics in the SE Asia region went to Asian Geos’s Director Ahmad Fikri Mustapa.
