GTT bags Hyundai Samho LNG tanks order

French LNG containment tank specialist, GTT said Tuesday it won a new order from the Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries for the tank design of two liquefied natural gas carriers.

The two 174,000-cbm LNG tankers will be built on behalf of a European shipowner.

The delivery of the ships is planned during the first semester of 2021, according to a GTT statement.

GTT will realize the design of the LNG tanks of both units with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system,

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT said in the statement that these new orders from Hyundai Samho take the number of current orders from the shipyard up to eight.
