The order was placed by the South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME), GTT said in a statement, adding the vessel will have a total transport capacity of 173,400 cubic meters.

This unit will be built on behalf of a European ship-owner, GTT said, without disclosing the name of the company.

The tanks will be fitted with the NO96 GW technology and the vessel’s delivery is expected by end 2020.

GTT said noted in its quarterly report that the year could be a record year for its main business line as orders picked up in the third quarter.
