Savannah Belle

Contrary to its ominous name, the MV Tiger seems quite placid in this photo taken at the Port of Savannah and posted by the ship’s owner, Wilh. Willhelmsen, as if adjusting to a bit slower pace of life the US South is known for.

The LCTC (Large Car and Truck Carrier) MV Tiger is part of the 7th generation of this design from DSME in South Korea.

The vessel is arranged with 13 decks for cargo, engine room aft, wheelhouse forward and living quarters in one tier on the upper deck.

The MV Tiger is powered by one electronically controlled slow speed, two stroke main engine and propelled by a single fixed pitch (FP) propeller cast in Ni-Al-Bronze.
