Infographic: Most Expensive Gas Carrier Fleet

In their latest installment of the Most Expensive Fleet Series, VesselsValue decided  to take a look at Teekay LNG Partners.

Teekay LNG Partners owns the most expensive whole gas fleet (LPG and LNG), valued at USD 6.9 billion.

This price tag includes the twenty LNG vessels currently under construction, whose newbuilding contract resale value is USD 4.7 billion today.

According to this infographic, if Teekay LNG Partners ever decided to sell their fleet of gas carriers, they would have enough capital to start an airline with a fleet of thirteen A380 Airbus jets, the world’s largest passenger airliners, with USD 400 million to spare.
