NGVA Europe Appoints Six New BoD Members

NGV Bologna 2012, the third NGVA Europe International Show & Workshops, was successfully held on June 19-21, 2012, in the city of Bologna, Italy.

The industry meeting lived up to the expectations and proved to be what it promised: the international NGV event of the year. Being supported by literally all NGV related industry segments it attracted 2.500 participants from over 40 countries and all five continents. Hosted by NGV System Italia, the Italian association of the NGV related industry, and organised by the NGV Communications Group, the gathering included exhibitions and workshops that featured presentations by high level speakers, such as Antonio Tricas-Aizpun from the European Commission (DG MOVE), who presented new EU actions to promote methane as fuel in vehicles.

NGVA Europe welcomes six new Board members and elects new Chairman & Vice-Chairman

NGVA Europe also held its yearly General Assembly in Bologna, which confirmed the six new Board members Bohlen & Doyen, Gasrec, GNVert, Linde, Swagelok and Westport. As expected, the meeting also elected Gerhard Holtmeier, representing erdgas mobil, as the new Chairman and confirmed Charlotte Hubert, GNVert Board representative, for the Vice-Chair position.

Holtmeier said that “the growth and impact of NGVA Europe is impressive and natural gas and biomethane clearly belong to the alternative fuel mix of the future” and Hubert added “I am proud to become an Officer of the association. France has a lot to contribute and I am looking forward to the bright future of CNG and LNG in transport”.
