JP Kenny Norway Wins Linnorm Subsea Contract from Shell

JP Kenny Norway has signed a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contract with Norske Shell for the high temperature, high pressure Linnorm project in Norway.

Valued at approximately US$9 million (NOK 55 million), this contract forms part of a global Enterprise Frame Agreement awarded to Wood Group Kenny earlier this year by Shell Global Solutions International BV.

The Linnorm FEED study will be carried out at the JP Kenny Norway offices in Stavanger and Oslo and is the single largest project to be executed by JP Kenny Norway to date. The project involves the provision of a full subsea, umbilical, riser and flowline (SURF) work scope.

”This prestigious project is second to none in its challenges and complexity, and gives our highly skilled engineers the opportunity, in close partnership with Shell, to push the limits on existing subsea technology,” said Ragnar Hjelmen, Operations Director for JP Kenny Norway. ”The size of this project underpins our commitment to further growth and development in Norway, and demonstrates Shell’s continued confidence in our ability to deliver complex SURF engineering solutions on a global basis.”
