Liquiline terminates Canadian JV

Liquiline terminates Canadian JV

After two years of operations Liquiline Group’s joint venture in Canada has been terminated.

Liquiline will continue to support customers in North America through a 100%-controlled venture, the company said in a statement.

In July 2012 the Liquiline Group established the joint-venture company Liquiline LNG Solutions Corp in Vancouver, Canada. The reason for the establishment was to provide Liquiline’s LNG solutions and LNG distribution expertise in the North American market. The joint venture was also granted a license to promote and sell Liquiline’s proprietary technologies and products in Canada and the US.

During the two years of operations the joint venture has taken on LNG projects, mostly in Canada, and sold solutions incorporating Liquiline’s proprietary technologies and products. Despite these achievements the parties have decided to end the cooperation and Liquiline AS has terminated the license agreement. The termination was effective as of July 2014, Liquiline said.

“Liquiline finds the opportunities in the North American LNG market very interesting and will continue its progress in the US and Canada through a 100%-controlled venture. We look forward working with customers in the LNG and High Horsepower industries, and to provide our solutions and operational LNG expertise in LNG fuel projects,” says Dag Lilletvedt, CEO of Liquiline Group.

Liquiline North America, Liquiline Group’s North American division, will until further notice be headed by Dag Lilletvedt, CEO of Liquiline Group.
