“Magseis Fairfield ASA has been notified by CFO Tom Henrik Sundby of his resignation from his position,” Magseis Fairfield, a provider of ocean bottom seismic systems and services, said on Friday.

Tom Henrik Sundby joined Magseis back in April 2018, having previously worked for BerGenBio ASA, and before that as CFO of Polarcus for eight years.

Magseis Fairfield has now appointed Kevin Crosby as interim  CFO effective immediately. Crosby comes from the position of CFO at Fairfield Geo Technologies.

“We are grateful for Tom Henrik’s contribution to Magseis Fairfield’s growth and development into an ocean bottom seismic technology leader. We wish him the best of luck as he now wishes to concentrate on new ventures,” Magseis Fairfield said.

Magseis Fairfield was recently established following Magseis’ acquisition of Fairfield Geotechnologies’ seismic technology business in December 2018.

Magseis had announced it would acquire Fairfield’s seismic technology business in a deal valued $233 million in late October 2018. The transaction was completed in mid-December.

Earlier this month, the company received one of the first deals under the new name, after receiving a letter of award for a data acquisition program in the North Sea.
