Myanmar Shows Interest in Bangladesh Submarine Cable

Myanmar’s Post and Telecoms Minister Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju expressed the interest of the country to share Bangladesh’s submarine cable, The Daily Star reported.

Speaking at a seminar “Submarine Cable Connecting Ocean Going Countries Economic Maritime Boundary” organized by Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), the Minister said that the existing submarine cable of Myanmar is not sufficient to serve the country’s demand.

He, however, did not make it clear whether Bangladesh would permit Myanmar to utilize it or not.
