Peru ships LNG cargo to Mexico

Peru’s only LNG export terminal dispatched a cargo to Mexico, data from Perupetro reveals.

Chevron’s newbuild, 160,000 cbm Asia Excellence LNG carrier departed from Peru’s facility on May 29.

Peru’s facility has an estimated annual production capacity of 4.4 million tons of LNG. The complex also consists of two storage tanks, each with a capacity of 130,000 cubic meters of LNG, a marine terminal and a supply pipeline.

The LNG plant is owned by Peru LNG and since the start of operations in June 2010 it has shipped 270 cargoes.
