Polarcus Grabs Two Projects in South America

Polarcus has secured a memorandum of understanding (MOU) from an undisclosed client for a 3D marine seismic project in South America, the Oslo-listed company informed on Wednesday.

According to Polarcus, the project is scheduled to start in the first quarter 2016, and will run for approximately four months.

In addition to this award, the company today announced another 3D shoot in South America, again with an undisclosed client.

This project, however, is planned for Q3 next year and will take about three months.

“This most recent award confirms that Polarcus will have two vessels operating in South America during 2016, acquiring five projects over approximately 14 vessel months, including the previously announced Brazilian projects,” the company said in a press release.
