POSH wins Prelude FLNG accommodation support job

Singapore-based PACC Offshore Services Holdings (POSH) has been awarded a contract to provide accommodation vessel to support Shell’s Prelude floating LNG facility.

Under the contract POSH’s unit POSH Semco won from Technip Oceania, the company will provide its semi-submersible accommodation vessel, the POSH Arcadia.

The 750-pax POSH Arcadia will be deployed to provide accommodation support for the hook-up and commissioning phase of the Shell Prelude FLNG Project in the Browse Basin, off the north-west coast of Western Australia, the company said in a statement on Friday.

This is the second contract POSH won for Shell’s Prelude FLNG project, as the offshore service contractor has in January been awarded the job to provide towage and positioning services for the Prelude FLNG facility.

Once operational, the Prelude FLNG facility will produce 3.6 mtpa of LNG, 1.3 mtpa of condensate and 0.4 mtpa of LPG from the Prelude gas field in the Browse basin, 475 kilometres north-northeast of Broome.
