PSA Carries Out Audit of Ekofisk 2/4-C, Norway

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Ekofisk 2/4-C and ConocoPhillips between 5 February and 22 March 2013.

The audit was directed at the company’s follow-up of well barriers and well control equipment with associated control systems.

Objective

The objective of the audit activity was to verify that ConocoPhillips had established necessary requirements and systems to ensure well barriers and well control equipment with associated control systems were followed up and safeguarded in a comprehensive and consistent manner, and that risk was sufficiently reduced.

Result

Nonconformities were identified in relation to Performance requirements for barriers.

Furthermore, improvement items were identified in connection with

• update of governing documents
