PSA Inspects Mærsk Intrepid

From 3 to 5 December 2013, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Mærsk Drilling (Mærsk).

The objective of the audit was to verify that Mærsk has taken the necessary measurements and implemented measures to ensure that Mærsk Intrepid complies with the petroleum regulations for maritime systems and load-bearing structures.

One non-conformity was identified in connection with fatigue analysis.

In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:

– watertight doors

– use of standards

– fatigue analyses
