Ramboll confirms Norwegian oil & gas deal

Following a recent framework agreement award by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) to Ramboll, the engineering services firm has confirmed and detailed the terms and scope of work to be delivered under the deal.

To recall, the government agency in charge of the country’s petroleum sector recently awarded framework agreements to eleven supplier firms in an effort to ensure sufficient capacity for developing new fields and improving recovery from producing fields.

In a statement on Friday, Ramboll said that it would deliver consultancy on development technology and operation of installations and facilities. The new framework agreement awarded to Ramboll is related to technology, risks, plans, and costs.

Dag A. Nilsen, Ramboll’s business development director, said: “I believe that our knowledge of the Norwegian regulatory frameworks and the successful collaboration with the client on the concept study for minimum-facility platforms for the Norwegian Continental Shelf has proved very useful in winning the new frame agreement and we are looking forward to continuing our strategic partnership with NPD.”

The deal is valid for two years with two one-year extension options. The scope of work covers the evaluation of development concepts, production facilities, processing and water treatment; maintenance, operation and late phase production, flexibility for handling contingency, uncertainties and connections to third parties, power generation, electrification, air pollution and environment, infrastructure solutions for oil, gas, and LNG.
