Rem Offshore and Vard Postpone OCV Delivery

Rem Offshore and Vard Group have agreed to postpone the delivery of Offshore Construction Vessel (OCV) ordered by Rem in June 2014.

The vessel is due for delivery in the first quarter 2018, instead of previously agreed Q1 2016.

The OCV is of the Vard 2 06 design with overall length of 100 meters and a beam of 25 meters.

It will be equipped with a 150 ton offshore crane, ROV hangar, prepared for A-frame and it will be capable of accommodating 90 people.

The vessel is specially designed for operations in the arctic areas with the ICE 1B hull.

The total cost for building the OCV is approximately USD 133.3 million, the company said in its announcement from June 2014.
