Rem Offshore CEO to Step Down

Rem Offshore, the Oslo-listed vessel owner, informed that Arild Myrvoll will resign as the company’s CEO effective October 10, 2016.

Arild Myrvoll succeeded Åge Remøy, majority owner and founder of Rem Offshore ASA, as the CEO on May 01, 2016.

Employed in the Rem Group since May 2007, Myrvoll has since held the CFO position of Rem Offshore, and also acted as a deputy to the CEO.

According to Rem Offshore press statement, “Arild Myrvoll will be at the company’s disposal until the merger between Rem Offshore ASA and Solstad Offshore ASA is final in order to facilitate the execution of the merger.”

The merger will be completed as a statutory triangular merger pursuant to and in accordance with Norwegian law.

REM and Solstad combined will operate a total of 62 vessels. After the merger, Solstad will retain its Skudeneshavn head office, from which the combined fleet of CSV vessels will be operated.
