Siem Offshore Breaks Off MEDS Vessel Contract

Norway’s Siem Offshore has terminated MRSV Siem Marlin’s charter contract with Marine Engineering Diving Services (MEDS).

According to the company, the contract, which started in September 2015, was terminated due to ‘non fulfillment of charterers’ obligations’.

The vessel was originally fixed for a firm charter period of five years with a purchase obligation at the end of the charter period.

Siem Offshore said that it will pursue its rights to claim damages.

Siem Marlin is a multipurpose field & ROV support vessel (MRSV) specially designed for ROV & crane operations for seabed duties through moonpool or along ship sides.
