Spectrum board member jumps ship to join Shearwater

Board member of seismic services market player Spectrum has resigned from the company with immediate effect.

Spectrum said on Monday that Linda Rudolfsen Myklebust would be resigning from its board of directors.

The resignation is due to the fact that Myklebust will be taking up the position as General Counsel in the Shearwater GeoServices Group in Bergen.

She has been a member of the Spectrum board since 2012. Myklebust currently holds the position as General Counsel in Odfjell Drilling. Previous positions include senior associate in the law firm Wikborg, Rein & Co and Senior Legal Counsel in Petroleum Geo-Services.

Shearwater is a new seismic player jointly owned by GC Rieber Shipping and Rasmussengruppen and established last October.

The new player recently got a permanent CEO in the form of, soon to be former, GC Rieber chief executive Irene Waage Basili.

To remind, after the company had been formed, Waage Basili took up the interim CEO role at Shearwater, in anticipation of a permanent CEO appointment at Shearwater GeoServices.

However, earlier in March, Basili was offered the permanent position at Shearater which means she will be leaving GC Rieber on April 1.
