Subsea Cable Repair Ship ASEAN Explorer Arrives in Sri Lanka

After the recent announcement from telecom company Dhiraagu that ‘ASEAN Explorer’ ship is headed to Sri Lanka to conduct cable repair, company today announced its arrival in Sri Lankan waters.

Engineers from Sri Lankan Telecom (SLT) and Dhiraagu are expected to board the ship tomorrow.

The ship will conduct the repair work of the fault on the cable that has been located approximately 26km off Sri Lanka at a depth of 40m.

The company continues to increase the diversity capacity, and more internet and voice circuits were added this morning to further enhance the service to customers and improve service levels.
