Wartsila Hosts Yuchai Machinery Group Officials

On July 5 2012, Yan Ping, chairman of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., visited Wartsila’s low-speed engine factory located in Winterthur, Switzerland and meet with the company’s President Martin Wernli. The two parties held further talks on low-speed engine cooperation.

Following the talks, accompanied by Mr. Wernli, the two parties visited the company’s training center and test center.

Wartsila is one of the world’s two major low-speed marine diesel engine brands, which boasts a complete production supply chain, advanced manufacturing technologies and a considerable market share in the international marine engine industry.

In 2009, Yuchai forged a partnership with Wartsila by establishing Yuchai Zhuhai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YZMP). Under the agreement, Wartsila would provide all-round technical and service support for Yuchai’s low-speed large-power marine diesel engine manufacturing project to enhance the technical level and market competitiveness of YZMP’s marine diesel engines.
