As informed, the delivery was completed recently in international waters off the coast of Russia.

Named after the famous Soviet sea captain, Vladimir Voronin was built at South Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard.

With a capacity of 172,410 cbm, the Bahamas-flagged ship features a length of 299 meters and a width of 50.1 meters. Currently, Vladimir Voronin has a market value of USD 258.7 million, according to data provided by VesselsValue.

Back in 2014, Teekay LNG Partners, part of the Teekay Group, signed contracts with its joint venture partner, China LNG Shipping, for the six LNG carriers. They agreed that the LNG ships would be on charter to Yamal LNG project in Northern Russia, operating on the Arctic route and transporting clean energy from the Arctic to the Asian and Nordic regions.

Apart from Vladimir Voronin, its sister vessels Eduard Toll, Rudolf Samoylovich and Nikolay Yevgenev have been delivered to Teekay and China LNG Shipping JV so far. Two more LNG carriers from the batch, Georgiy Ushakov and Yakov Gakkelm, are being built at DSME and will be handed over to JV partners in the coming period.
