The Netherlands: COSCO Shipping Europe Holds Official Opening Ceremony

COSCO Shipping Europe B.V. held its official opening ceremony in its Rotterdam offices at Strevelsweg 700 on Tuesday the 14th of May 2013.

COSCO Shipping Company’s CEO, Capt. Han Guomin, had specially flown in from Guangzhou to chair the event. It was attended by clients of his company’s fleet of semi-submersible heavylift vessels. Executives of other COSCO companies in Rotterdam and Hamburg were also present along with COSCO Shipping Europe B.V. management and staff.

COSCO Shipping Europe B.V. is a joint venture between COSCO Shipping Co. Ltd., headquartered in Guangzhou, and COSCO’s long-term partners NMA Maritime & Offshore Contractors B.V. COSCO Shipping Europe B.V. and its associate company COSCO Shipping Americas Inc. jointly market and provide technical support world-wide to COSCO Shipping Company’s fleet of modern, semi-submersible heavylift vessels under the trade name of COSCO HEAVY TRANSPORT. The offices are staffed by very experienced personnel and the vessels manned by officers and crews of the highest calibre. COSCO has a long record of safe transports of a wide variety of high-value offshore equipment.

COSCO Shipping Americas Inc. very recently participated in the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston Texas. At an attractive booth, situated in the main exhibition hall, clients could view models of COSCO vessels loaded with a wide variety of offshore equipment and meet and seek information from COSCO Shipping’s commercial and technical staff. Some 80,000 visitors attended OTC this year.

In his address at the ceremony Capt. Han Guomin expressed his and his colleagues’ appreciation for the support received from so many loyal clients and he assured them that COSCO will continue to deliver top-class service and high-quality, safe transportation of the cargoes they entrust to COSCO.
