Hartman Marine, Shipkits to Deliver First Hartman M2Runner in April

Urk, The Netherlands based Hartman Marine Group BV has developed, in close cooperation with Vuyk Engineering and Conoship, a brand new concept. This vessel, named Hartman M2Runner, is characterized by a surplus of load capacity in the holds, as well as on the tween decks and also on the hatch covers. Gross tonnage is just below 3.000 GT.

Typically, this vessel has a a asymmetrical wheel house and accommodation, which enables the vessel to also load odd and long sizes.

Momentarily the first and second, out of a range of 3, are under construction at Shipkits yard in Stettin, Poland. Shipkits BV will build this casco based on its proven ‘plug & play’ concept.

Shipkits’ (SK) scope of work consists of the building of the complete hull (based on Centraalstaal building kit) included installment of the steering gear, rudder stock, rudder, propeller and propshaft, steel outfitting, piping and a complete paint program.

The first Hartman M2Runner will be delivered to Hartman Building BV in Urk, around mid April 2012. The second will be delivered in Q4 2012.

The profound relationship between Hartman Marine Group and Shipkits was already strengthened, since the Hartman’s “Deo Valente” (casco + also built by Shipkits) was honored with the “2007 Ship of the Year Award”. Besides the ‘Deo Valente’, Shipkits has also build ‘Eendracht’, ‘Pacific Dawn’ and ‘Atlantic’.
