Tidal Energy Gathers International Industry Players in Bristol, UK

This October’s Bristol Tidal Energy Forum will be a truly international event, with representation from nine European countries, including Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. This is an encouraging signal of the growth of the sector in Europe and the importance of the tidal energy cluster in Bristol.

The forum, organised by Regen SW in partnership with Bristol City Council and Burges Salmon is the 7th in the series and will be attended by over 110 industry experts, making it the largest to date. The focus and topic of the 7th forum is the challenge of providing safe and cost effective marine operations services for the tidal energy sector, from installation through to operation and maintenance.

Johnny Gowdy, director of Regen SW, said: “This is the seventh time we have run the forum and the event has grown in popularity since its inception in 2011. The forum this autumn will be the largest audience to date, which is fantastic news with the Bristol 2015, European Green Capital programme just around the corner.”
