ADIK Shipyard Launches Eight Landing Craft Tank Vessel

The Eight vessel of the LCT (Landing Craft Tank) Project undertaken by ANADOLU (ADIK) Shipyard on the Contract signed with SSM in 2009 (Turkish Undersecretariat of Defense Industries) NB 230 / Ç-158 was succesfully launched on May 11th 2012.

ANADOLU Shgipyard has delivered the First vessel of the project (NB 223 / Ç-151) on March 9th 2012; the Second vessel NB 224 / Ç-152 on April 13th 2012; and Third and Fourth vessels (NB 225 / Ç-153 and NB 226 / Ç-154) on the same on April 27th 2012. ANADOLU Shipyard is proceeding rapidly in the construction of other vessels of the Project as well.

NB 230 / Ç-158’s building process has started during 2011 and the hull was completed in January 2012

The ship is a mono-hull type vessel, all steel construction, designed to meet the speed, sea keeping maneuverability and stability requirements of Turkish Naval Forces Command. The expected service life will be 30 years.
