U.S. offshore rig count flat at 24

The number of offshore units in the U.S. has remained the same over the course of last week, according to Friday rig count reports by Baker Hughes, a GE company. 

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. – 2 to 967 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 967, with oil rigs up 1 to 789, gas rigs down 4 to 177, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 85 rigs from last year’s count of 1,052, with oil rigs down 73, gas rigs down 11, and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 24 and up 6 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada + 12 rigs to 119 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 12 rigs from last week to 119, with oil rigs up 11 to 80 and gas rigs up 1 to 39.

Canada Rig Count is down 41 rigs from last year’s count of 160, with oil rigs down 23 and gas rigs down 18.
