U.S. weekly offshore rig count climbs to 16 units

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. is up to 16 units, according to Friday’s weekly rig count report by Baker Hughes, a GE company. 


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +5 to 1,008 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 5 rigs from last week to 1,008, with oil rigs up 7 to 815, gas rigs down 2 to 192, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is up 161 rigs from last year’s count of 847, with oil rigs up 132, gas rigs up 30, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 4 rigs to 16 and down 5 rigs from last year’s count of 21.

 

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -9 to 102 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 9 rigs from last week to 102, with oil rigs down 7 to 41 and gas rigs down 2 to 61.

Canada Rig Count is down 16 rigs from last year’s count of 118, with oil rigs up 1 and gas rigs down 17.
