U.S. weekly offshore rig count inches down

The U.S. active offshore rig count last week dropped by one unit compared to the previous week, Baker Hughes Company said on Friday in its weekly rig count report.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -44 to 728 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 44 rigs from last week to 728, with oil rigs down 40 to 624, gas rigs down 4 to 102, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is down 278 rigs from last year’s count of 1,006, with oil rigs down 192, gas rigs down 88, and miscellaneous rigs up 2 to 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 to 18 and down 5 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -44 rigs to 54 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 44 rigs from last week to 54, with oil rigs down 34 to 18 and gas rigs down 10 to 36.

Canada Rig Count is down 34 rigs from last year’s count of 88, with oil rigs down 17 and gas rigs down 17.
