ADPC’s New Tugboat Al Fenci Passes Sea Trials

ADPC’s Al Fenci tugboat navigates her way along Mina Zayed channel after successfully passing all tests.

The tugboat, built at the Grandweld yard in Dubai, will be joined by her sister tug, Al Durrah, also built at the same yard. Both will work at Khalifa Port. ADPC’s full complement of working craft, including the pilot boat Al Safeer 1 has now been delivered. The tugboat contracts with Grandweld and the pilot boat contract at Riviera Boat Industrial Investment (based in Sharjah) ran to AED 66 million.

Grandweld Shipyards located in Dubai Maritime City and Al Jadaf provide complete shipbuilding, ship repair, and conversion solutions. While Fujairah and Abu Dhabi facilities are dedicate for afloat and dry docking ship repair services. Grandweld‘s shipbuilding activities includes the design and the construction of a broad range of offshore vessels such as Harbour/Terminal tugs, Dive Maintenance Support vessels, Seismic Support vessels, Utility vessels, Multi Purpose Supply vessels, Fast Intervention Supply vessels (FISV), Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels, Offshore Support vessels, Salvage tugs, Crew Boats, Pilot Boats and Security/Patrol Boats.
