UAE - Drydocks World, Samos Steamship Hold Discussions on Future Co-operation

Drydocks World, one of the leading maritime service providers had extensive discussions with top management personnel of Samos Steamship, a well-established ship managing company based in Greece with a tradition in sea transportation since 1875.

A high-level team led by Nicholas G. Inglessis President of Samos Steamship and Tassos Tzamouranis, Managing Director met Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World and members of the senior management recently and expressed keen interest in working on several areas of mutual interest. The team also toured the Drydocks World and Dubai Maritime City facilities and was appreciative of the infrastructure available for promoting maritime business and trade.

“We are eager to identify and closely collaborate on all relevant areas that would enhance and improve our business in both immediate and planned future extension of our services in prospective areas such as Fujairah, which has a thriving port. We have diverse offerings both at the shipyard and the adjacent Dubai Maritime City for customers all over the world and have seen a consistent increase in interest in recent months. We will have further constructive talks in the near future on fine-tuning the activities and timelines,” said Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World.

The discussions revolved around future collaboration in managing a newly operational ship maintenance facility in Fujairah, on the Northern side of the UAE, yacht maintenance in Dubai Maritime City (DMC), preferred customer status for Samos Steamship and setting up an office in the recently opened Maritime Business Centre, within DMC.
