UK: Penzance Harbour in Need of Dredging

Penzance Harbour in Need of Dredging

Cornwall Council has announced a tender for the Penzance Harbour dredging project.

Under this plan, the contractor will undertake a pre-dredge and post-dredge bathymetric survey of the dredged areas, and remove about 40,000m³ of material from the seabed adjacent to Lighthouse Pier and Albert Pier. The dredged material will be placed within an operational harbour site.

The total value of this project is between £1,2 mln and £2 mln, and the project period is 12 months from the date of contract award. The anticipated contract award date is June 2014, and the time window for dredging is between June and November 2014.

The tender deadline is April 28, 2014.
