GTT has received an order from the Jiangnan shipyard for the tank design of four new LNGCs on behalf of Shandong Marine Energy, which is the ships’ owner.

As a result, the French player will design the cryogenic tanks of the vessels, which will each offer a total capacity of 175,000 cubic meters.

These tanks will be fitted with the firm’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system. The delivery of the vessels is expected between 3Q 2028 and 4Q 2029.

In addition, GTT has secured an order from Samsung Heavy Industries for the tank design of two new LNG carriers.

This enables the French firm to design the cryogenic tanks of the vessels, each with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters.

The tanks will be fitted with GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system, with the vessel delivery anticipated between 4Q 2028 and 1Q 2029.

These assignments come more than a month after Hanwha Ocean tasked the French company with the tank design of seven LNGCs.
