DEVEX is a main event to the industry’s key professionals during which knowledge sharing and experience exchange on projects and new innovations is set as priority.

AGR’s Liz Chellingsworth, Principal Geophysicist, will deliver a presentation entitled ‘Facies interpretation and modelling: an integrated workflow to assist well planning’. The paper will provide an overview of an integrated workflow approach that was implemented in the planning of development wells in a Paleocene turbidite field in the North Sea and tested live.

Liz has worked extensively on turbitide fields around the world and routinely uses seismic facies techniques to extract geological information from seismic data and define potential sweet spots within the fairway.

The second AGR-led lecture will be delivered by Reservoir Engineer, Dr Steven Furnival PhD, who will focus on ‘Characterisation, Modelling and Monitoring for Carbon Capture and Storage’. This will discuss characterising a CO2 storage site in the Southern North Sea.

With over 25 years of reservoir and production engineering experience, Steven has developed extensive skills in geological modelling and experience in well, pipe and surface network modelling in various positions across the UK.

Mike Wynne, VP of AGR Reservoir Management UK, commented: “AGR has historically been represented by one or two papers at the highly reputable DEVEX conference. That Liz and Steve have been given the opportunity to address the conference theme again this year is an excellent reflection of the expertise we have in our Reservoir Management team to deliver subsurface services.”
