Bibby Offshore scores contracts with two ‘major’ operators

Bibby Offshore, the UK-based subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, has won another two ‘multi-million pound’ contracts with ‘major’ operators.

The company said in a press release that the first contract will entail comprehensive diving support vessel (DSV) inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) activities at two fields in the UK Continental Shelf in the North Sea. Bibby Offshore further said that their scope of work there will include barrier testing, reconfiguring flexible pipelines, installing a new production spool and commissioning.

The second contract win is a construction project approximately 22 miles off the coast of Trinidad. The company said the project will include riser clamp installation, spool installation work, flexible jumper tie-ins and pre-commissioning activities. According to the company, the contract will include utilization of the DP2, 94 meters long, Bibby Sapphire DSV.

Howard Woodcock, chief executive at Bibby Offshore, said: “These contracts are an important development for Bibby Offshore, capitalizing on our robust position in the market as clients look for security of supply of services into the future.”

This announcement comes off the back of Monday’s press statement where the company said they have won ‘a multimillion pound’ contract with ‘a global energy player’ for subsea engineering work 150 km off the coast of Lincolnshire.
