The scope of work will involve the assessment of the technology, design, fabrication and site criteria.

This will involve the provision of services such as; approvals in principle, prototype certification, project certification and third party verification of components and systems as required.

The company plans to keep the tender open until 29 May 2020, with the award date set for end-June.

To remind, Bombora has delayed the deployment of its mWave demonstration device in Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the company also said it remains confident installation will be possible in the first half of 2021.

Furthermore, Bombora recently completed a metocean survey off the Spanish Canary Island of Lanzarote, as part of 3MW wave park project.

The first phase of the project will see 3MW of generating capacity installed in 2022.

The project is currently progressing through the planning and consent stage.
