Three Vessels Named at Ouhua Shipbuilding

In late June 2012, three vessel built by Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, were successively named. Among them, HN 605 the day after its naming was delivered to the ship owner.

HN 605 Vessel was the second in the 37K series that the has constructed for ALL SEAS. It took only one and half a months from its launch, April 10th, to its seal trials, May 30. On June 17, 2012, its Christening ceremony was held at No. 3 dock. Despite the rain, Mr. George Kavounis, technical director from Greek ALL SEAS-the ship owner, Mr. Stratos Skrimizeas – the god-father, site team, surveyors from Lloyds Register, leaders and some employees from the company attended the ceremony.

Wang Chuanxing, manager of the Business Dept. of Ouhua Shipbuilding delivered a speech on the Christening ceremony. He pointed out that the successful building of HN 605 Vessel was owed to the close cooperation and concerted efforts of employees from Ouhua, the site team from ALL SEAS, and surveyors from Lloyds Register. “During the process, we not only built the vessel but also built up our friendship. We believed that our cooperation would create more wonders in shipbuilding industry.

Mr. Stratos Skrimizeas, son of the general manager of ALL SEAS and god-father of HN 605 Vessel, spoke excitedly, “Today, it’s of great honor for me to be the god-father of this newly built vessel. This vessel will become another highlight of our fleet. Here, I’d like to convey my heartfelt gratitude to all people who have devoted to this project. I also firmly believe that with our concerted efforts, we will cooperate with each other smoothly and successfully, and will realize better performance in the following 37K project and 4800 project.

Afterwards, with blessings from all people present, the HN 605 Vessel was named “Precious Seas”.

HN 632 Vessel and HN 633 Vessel were the last two vessels of 37K series built for Canadian Fednav. On June 26, 2012, the company held Christening ceremony for the two vessels. Mr. John Stubbs, technical director of Fednav, site team, Ms. Lin Feng from Braemar Seascope, representatives from Lloyds Register, Mr. Stump, and Mr. Schnellmann from Wartsila were invited to the ceremony.

Qin Yanming, chief engineer of Ouhua Shipbuilding, delivered a speech. He expressed his thanks to all employees who had engaged in the building of this series of vessels, and conveyed his special thanks to the site team and Lloyds Register for their painstaking works and their trust for and collaboration with Ouhua.

Mrs. Stubbs, god-mother of HN 632 Vessel, and Ms. Lin Feng, god-mother of HN 633 Vessel, were the pioneers and authentic mothers of the two vessels. With blessings from all people present, Mrs. Stubbs named HN 632 Vessel “FEDERAL SPEY” and Ms. Lin Feng named HN 632 Vessel “FEDERAL SPRUCE”.

So far, HN 632 Vessel has accomplished its sea trial and is ready for delivery, and; HN 633 Vessel has been launched and is now under outfitting and commissioning.

Besides, it is reported that up to the first half of 2012, Ouhua Shipbuilding has delivered 14 vessels of various categories and generally realized the expected delivery objectives.
