Yuexin Ocean Engineering Delivers P&O MBURUCUYA

On May 7th, the 45m Azimuthal and River Pusher P&O MBURUCUYA built by Yuexin Ocean Engineering Co for P&O Maritime Holdings Paraguay S.A. was delivered successfully.

Classed for unrestricted duty and built to ABS Class notation which includes “+A1 River Pusher Inland Service, +AMS and +ABCU ”class certificate, the vessel measures 45 m in length and a breadth moulded of 16m as well as a moulded draft of 3.2m.

With complement of 20 men, it can carry 733 m3 of fuel oil, 148 m3 of diesel oil, 562 m3 of ballast water and 89 m3 of fresh water. The vessel can push ten vessels, weighing 2500 tons each, at the same time with speed of 12.21 knots while her pushing up to 58.14 ton.

Propulsion is provided by three Wartsila main engines with heavy and light oil switch, each rated 1600kw at 1000rpm, which are placed on the deck to save room and endow the vessel with better line shape. Three Thrustmaster CPP thrusters assist the vessel to rotate 360 degree. The shallow designed draft of 1.83m to 3.2m, make the vessel applicable to serve in the inland river. The Auxiliary Power comes from three Cummins generators each rated 260KW.
