China: Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Achieves Four Major Milestones

Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Achieves Four Major Milestones

In the first half of March, Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding managed to achieve four major milestones including Vessel 617 bottomed and Vessel 616 undocked in Project 82K, Vessel 626 delivered in Project 37K and trial voyage of Vessel 546 of 1.500 TEU series.

At 10:00 a.m. on March 10, Section 2501 of Vessel 617 in 82K series were bottomed, positioned and closed in No. 3 dock; and the dock erection engineering of the vessel was fully launched. According to the production plan of the Company, the docking period of the vessel lasts around 45 days; the Erection Department has prepared detailed schedules for the project, and is organizing with all efforts to ensure realization of the scheduled target.

On March 12tth, Vessel 616 of the Project 82K, was successfully undocked in No. 2 dock. It was the first Bulk Carriers in 82K series. Affected by the rainy and cloudy weather since the Spring Festival, the docking period of the vessel has been extended; however, corresponding integrity of the vessel before it is launched has exceeded the expectation, paving a firm foundation for subsequent engineering work. Following the undocking of Vessel 616, Vessel 632 in the same No. 2 dock underwent the semi-vessel displacement.

Meanwhile, on March 12th, Vessel 564 in Project 1.500 TEU left the dock for trial voyage; after a series of routine tests for project delivery including load test of the main engine and ship performance tests, it successfully returned on March 14, and berthed at No. 3 outfitting dock. Currently, the vessel is being prepared for delivery. On March 13, we signed the delivery document for Vessel 626, Federal Sutton, with FEDNAV, Canada (the owner); the vessel was delivered for use and sailed off the dock.
