Containership ESM Amanda Repaired at CIC Lixin

Container carrier “ESM Amanda” arrived at CIC Lixin Shipyard in late July and started her six-day repair. Her main work scope entailed emergency docking and re-welding of a crack on the propeller blade.

The shipyard arranged immediate docking of the subject vessel upon her arrival.

The owner of the vessel is a German shipping company, Esmeralda Schiffahrt that has been cooperating with CIC Lixin Shipyard since 2009. Therefore, the yard paid high attention to the vessel’s repair, and arranged for experienced repair manager and supervisor to execute the repair work.

The vessel, classed by Bureau Veritas, encompasses a LOA of 144.83 m and a moulded breadth of 22.40 m. She was built by Kyokuyo Shipbuilding & Iron Works from Shimonoseki, Japan in 2000.
