Under the new contract, Kystdesign will deliver two complete Constructor Compact ROV systems, a newly developed compact version of the Constructor ROV, to DOF.

“We are pleased with securing the contract for delivery of these ROV systems from Kystdesign. DOF has an outstanding track record with Supporter 12, demonstrating about 14 years of successful operation. We look forward to continuing this strong performance with the new Constructor C WROVs in the years to come,” said Ingve Osberg, SVP Remote Operation at DOF.

The two companies established their relationship in 2010 with the delivery of the first ROV. According to Åge Holsbrekken, CCO at Kystdesign, with this contract, the cooperation is consolidated and confirms the company’s clear strategy of further growth and increased market shares.

“We are pleased and grateful for the contract with DOF, and it is an important milestone for Kystdesign. We have always had a close and good relationship with DOF since our first ROV delivery to them in 2010,” said Holsbrekken. “We are confident that this new contract will pave the way for a lasting partnership and more collaborative projects in the future, Holsbrekken continues.”

Kystdesign was recently contracted by Omega Subsea for the delivery of six complete ROV systems, as well as Reach Subsea for two new Constructor-type ROVs.

Speaking about recent news coming from DOF, the company in a joint venture with TechnipFMC secured a contract defined as “major” with Brazilian oil and gas giant Petrobras for a pipelay support vessel (PLSV). The Norwegian company shortly after announced a new award with Equinor for inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) services for a duration of up to three years.
