DOF, Subsea 7 agree terms for vessel trio

DOF Subsea has reached an agreement with Subsea 7 for the chartering of three vessels.

The vessels agreed for chartering are Skandi Acergy, Skandi Seven and Skandi Skansen.

Subsea 7 has committed to a 3-year firm period for a construction/flex-lay vessel Skandi Acergy, which is in direct continuation of the current firm period.

The vessel is thus firmly contracted until August 2019. Capable of working in water depths of up to 3,000m, the vessel is suited to deepwater subsea developments.

survey and light construction, suited for field installation operations across a wide range of water depths and environmental conditions.

The third vessel in the deal, construction/flex-lay vessel Skandi Seven, will be redelivered to DOF Subsea on January 1, 2016. It has been said in the press release that DOF Subsea has several chartered in vessels that can be redelivered to owners during the next three to twelve months compensating the redelivery of Skandi Seven. The vessel is equipped with a vertical lay system for deployment of flexible products and it has a top-tension capacity of 110t and twin work-class ROVs.
