DOF Subsea scoops five-year IMR deal with Equinor

Subsea services provider DOF Subsea has been awarded an inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) frame agreement by Equinor, formerly known as Statoil.

DOF Subsea said on Wednesday that the contract was for five years and would begin in 2019.

According to the company, Equinor will call off subsea IMR services as required during the course of the frame agreement.

This is the third contract awarded to DOF Subsea this month. Previously, DOF was awarded a contract for the Skandi Chieftain multi-purpose vessel and a contract extension for one of its subsea vessels in the West Africa region.

Last week, the company brought in the Skandi Recife pipelay support vessels to its Brazilian fleet as part of a joint venture between DOF Subsea and oilfield services provider TechnipFMC.

Also worth mentioning, since the start of trading under the Equinor name today, the Norwegian oil and gas has, apart from the DOF contract, awarded contracts to Aker Solutions and Akastor, as well.
