DOF Subsea sells ‘Skandi Inspector’

DOF Subsea, a subsidiary of the Norwegian company DOF, sold their subsea support vessel Skandi Inspector.

The company said that the 36 years old vessel would be sold to an undisclosed international buyer, but it did not reveal the value of the deal.

DOF also said that delivery of the Bahamian-flagged vessel, built by Hatlo Verksted-Ulsteinvik, Norway, in 1979, would take place before the end of 2015.

DOF purchased the vessel in 1989 under the name Skandi Captain and renamed it to Skandi Inspector. In 1999, it was rebuilt as a survey vessel.

Skandi Inspector is 80.8 meters long, has two moon pools and a 1077-meter crane, and it can accommodate 64 persons.
