Expansion Strategy of UMG Conitnued in Africa

Unique Maritime Group (UMG), which is one of the world’s leading integrated turnkey subsea and offshore solution providers, has recently opened up a new office in the African subcontinent as part of its geographical expansion strategy. The office is situated in Nigeria and will be called Unique Wellube Nigeria Limited.

The office will be headed by Graham McKay who is promoted as the COO of Unique Wellube Nigeria Limited. To date Graham has worked as the General Manager for Sales and International Business Development Director for Unique Wellube FZC. Now after this promotion he will assume responsibility for the base in Nigeria. In addition Graham will assume responsibilities of Business Development for Unique Maritime Group. Graham carries extensive experience in customer relationship management, sales activities and overall business improvement. He also has strong technical expertise in most of the products and services that the new company has to offer. Prior to working with the Group, Graham McKay has also worked for organisations such as Furmanite International Limited, Transmac Group, ET Valves Limited among others.

Some of the primary engineering services that will be offered by Unique Wellube Nigeria Limited include Pipeline Rehabilitation, Hot Tapping & Line Stopping, On-Site Machining, Under Pressure Leak Sealing, Pipeline Repair Clamps, On-Line Safety Valve Testing, On-Line Valve Maintenance and Pipe Freezing. Adding to these will also be an impressive new line-up of products and services which include Portable Onsite Machine Rental Solutions, Subsea Diamond Wire Pipe Cutter, Hot Tap & Line Stop Tees and Fittings, Extruded Headers, Pipeline Isolation and Inspection Tooling Solutions among many more. The strategy over the next 3 years will be to render most of the services offered by the Group through its Nigeria office too, as a whole spanning the Marine, Diving, Survey, Inspection and Oil & Gas division.
