FN Diving Conducts Underwater Blade Exchange and Repair (Germany)

FN Diving reported that it has successfully conducted Underwater Bow Thruster CPP Blade exchange and repair in Bremen Port.

After an underwater inspection two of the blades on a bow thruster unit on a RORO Vessel were found severely damaged.

The 2 Blades were taken off underwater and the bow thruster temporarily fixated and protected against water ingress by an FN Diving team in Bremen Port.

By doing so maintaining the vessels schedule with as less downtime possible.

Subsequently, both blades were repaired in the work shop of the maker and upon completion re-installed. The propeller blade bolts were then torqued to the proper settings and the system prepared for use together with new cpp seals on apropriate port call in Amsterdam Port.

By doing so having less down time as possible and a fully operational bow thruster without the loss of scheduled operational times.
