GTT said on Monday that the order by SHI was made on behalf of the Danish ship-owner Navigare.

The company added that its Mark III Flex membrane containment system was selected for the design of the tanks.

The delivery of the ship was planned during the first half of 2021. Financial or any other details regarding the deal were left undisclosed.

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT noted the vessel marks Navigare’s entry into the LNG world on its first LNGC project.

It is worth reminding that the Korean shipbuilder already made one previous order in February for an LNG carrier tank design. At the time, GTT said that the order by SHI was made on behalf of a European shipowner.
