Jumeirah Offshore Orders DSV

Jumeirah Offshore Orders DSVSingapore based company Jumeirah Offshore has contracted Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard, a CSSC subsidiary, to build its new Dive Support Vessel.

Skipsteknisk has been hired to design the new vessel, which will be designated ST-246 DSV and be fit to accommodate 120 persons.

This is the seventh offshore vessel Norway-based company is designing for Asian clients since establishing office in Shanghai in June 2010.

According to Skipsteknisk, the new DP3 ship will feature a 24-man dive system with two diving bells installed, and be equipped with two subsea cranes, where the largest has a lifting capacity of 250 tons.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2017. Further details of the agreements were not disclosed.
