WATCH: Kleven Splashes Newbuild

A diamond sampling and exploration vessel the SS Nujoma was launched from the slipway at Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway last weekend.

According to Kleven, the first of its kind, the MT6022-design, is a highly specialised vessel for deep water mineral exploration with tailor made equipment and features.

Norwegian shipbuilder is constructing the BN 381 131-meter ship for Debmarine Namibia, scheduled for delivery in June 2016.

The SS Nujoma is one of five vessels Kleven is scheduled to deliver this year. After delivery, the vessel is to sail to South Africa for final outfitting.
